Therefore, a reasonable classification of cartons can not only build a bridge between the design and manufacturing departments of cartons and users, but also help to realize the computer-aided design and manufacturing process of cartons, and also facilitate users to order, so as to shorten the design and production cycle, reduce packaging water, promote the renewal of products, and improve the market competitiveness of commodities

I. classification method of cartons

cartons are generally made of cardboard by folding, pasting or other connection methods, and are mainly used for sales and packaging of products. The use characteristics, manufacturing methods, shapes, structural forms and packaging objects of carton classification group materials are different

1. According to the way of making cartons, there are manual cartons and machine-made cartons

2. According to the shape of the paper grid, there are square, round, flat, polygonal and special-shaped paper

3. According to the packaging object, there are food, drugs, cosmetics, daily necessities, cultural goods, instruments and meters, and chemical packaging cartons

4. According to the characteristics of materials, there are flat cartons, fully bonded cartons, fine corrugated cartons, and composite cartons

① dry board cartons: mostly used for sales packaging, such as white paper lunch boxes, yellow paper lunch boxes, cardboard boxes

② fully bonded paper lunch box: it is used not only for transportation packaging, but also for sales packaging, especially for small and heavy goods

③ thin corrugated cardboard boxes: such as flat adhesive corrugated boxes and ordinary corrugated boxes

④ composite cardboard box: it is mainly made of thin and thick cardboard and paper, cloth silk, aluminum foil, cellophane, and is used for the packaging of juice, milk and other liquids

5. According to the thickness of the cardboard, there are thin and thick paper lunch boxes

① tissue paper lunch boxes: such as white cardboard boxes, cardboard lunch boxes, tea cardboard boxes

② thick cardboard boxes: such as box paper lunch boxes, yellow paper lunch boxes, corrugated cardboard boxes

7. according to the form of loan, there are two kinds of folding cartons and fixing cartons with high force during the experiment

① folding carton is a tough thin paper box, which is formed by printing, die cutting, indentation and bonding. Its biggest feature is to store and supply goods in folded boxes, which greatly saves storage space and freight; It is suitable for automatic packaging. When in use, it can complete the processes of beating, forming, filling, sealing, etc. on the automatic packaging machine; Easy to sell and display, suitable for various printing methods, conducive to the publicity and promotion of goods; It is easy to process and low-cost. Through knife arrangement, die cutting, indentation, folding, bonding and other processes, it is easier to process paperboard into cartons of various shapes, and its processing cost is much cheaper than that of metal, glass and plastic; It can fix and protect commodities. Using aseptic sealing method or freezing and fresh-keeping packaging can make the problem of food not particularly obvious on the static experimental machine, and the product will not be corroded or deteriorated

② fixed carton is also called hard paper lunch box, thick paper lunch box or paste box. It is composed of a box body and a box cover. The box is made by flat nails or pasting, but it cannot be folded. More goods are supplied in the form of finished products, which greatly wastes storage and transportation space and increases freight. Most processes are manually operated, resulting in high cost and low production efficiency. But compared with folding carton, it has higher strength, rigidity and beautiful appearance
