2.1 selection of additives

the size, strength and stability of foam in foam printing are mainly related to the foaming agent and stabilizer. Therefore, it must be selected to make it have good compatibility, so that foam has relative stability. Many surfactants can be used as blowing agents. The commonly used stabilizers include sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate and sodium dodecyl sulfate, and the stabilizers include hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium alginate, dodecyl alcohol, stearic acid amine, etc. We think it is better to choose sodium dodecyl sulfate as blowing agent and stearic acid amine as stabilizer

2.1.1 dosage of foaming agent

the main function of foaming agent is to reduce the surface tension of water. The amount of blowing agent will directly affect the foaming effect and the stability of foam. If the dosage is small, the surface tension of water can not be fully reduced, resulting in uneven size of foam and poor stability of foam; A large amount of foam will be formed, which will reduce the liquid carrying capacity of the foam itself, reduce the wetting capacity of the foam, and prevent the foam that detects the carbon content of the metal printed on the fabric from penetrating and diffusing rapidly inside the fiber after the liquid is discharged, resulting in poor surface finish of the fabric. Through a large number of tests, it is considered that the dosage of blowing agent is between 1% and 1.2%

2.1.2 dosage of stabilizer

stabilizer is mainly used to improve the half-life of foam and prolong the life of foam. The general dosage shall be controlled between 0.8% and 1%. Too little can not achieve the goal of stability, too much foam has poor wetting ability and is not easy to burst. 2.2 effect of initial viscosity, pH value and temperature on the stability of foam

2.2.1 initial viscosity

foam color paste has a certain viscosity to ensure the normal working pressure of foam and increase the thickness of foam wall. According to the test results, it is considered that under certain circumstances, the viscosity should be controlled within 35PA s ~ 37pa s. The Rotary Viscometer should be used to measure it under the condition of 3 × rotor 30r/min. Low viscosity, poor foaming effect and uneven foam; The viscosity is too high, and the printed fabric feels hard

2.2.2 pH value

PTF is used as thickener for foam printing, and its dosage determines the initial viscosity of the color paste. When the pH value is low, PTF cannot be fully expanded, resulting in poor rheology of foam pulp. When the pH value is too high, the amount of PTF is increased, and the fabric feels hard. The optimum expansion state of PTF is pH value of 9 ~ 10

2.2.3 temperature

temperature has a great influence on the stability of foam.
